I’m defending her because being uncharitable towards others is against everything I was ever taught in Catholic school. Sister Mary Frances (3rd grade) would never forgive me if I let that go. I would defend ANYONE the same way.

Disagreeing with someone does not give us permission to be uncharitable to them.

So how about defending the millions of unborn victims this whore is guilty of killing through abortion and partial birth abortion. Even supporting such a measure puts the blood on her hands. I don’t have any charity for such people. Before anyone says anything, I know this has nothing to do with the OP and for the off topic tangent I do apologize.

I despise liberals and I will never back down from that.

We don’t need the progressivist **** that seems to be pushed at us from every angle both at Church by lay people no less and by secular society. This country and our world are headed straight to hell and immodesty, including the blending of gender roles is both sinful and anti-Catholic, whether you agree or not doesn’t make me or my point wrong.

You’re using some pretty strong language (I’m guilty of the same often, so I can spot it right away - takes one to know one…). Honestly, I agree we don’t need what the liberals (even from inside) are dishing us; I feel very strongly about it myself and for that part perhaps the words you used were appropriate. I hope though that our country and our world are not headed for hell. Two points to make here:

1. If you don’t like our country, move; I’m planning on doing so (or at least out of southern New York, whatever I can get)…
2. There are still places in the world that do have some sense of what is right and wrong, even if they are not perfect.
   And you are right when you say that whether we agree or not doesn’t make your point wrong. On the other hand, it doesn’t make it right either. We have Church teaching to be definitive and objective.

I will not apologize for trashing Hillary Clinton.

You need not apologize for trashing her policies, but “hate the sin, love the sinner.”

She and her husband are one a the worst things to happen to this country in the last 20 years.

Personally, I’ll talk about policies, not people, and I’ll say that Obama’s are the worst yet…

I heard a great hymn the other week at mass, “Ubi caritas est vera, est vera: DEUS ibi est, DEUS ibi est.” To translate, “Where charity is there is truth, there is truth: GOD is there, GOD is there.” Or what about the encyclical “DEUS Caritas Est” (GOD is Love)…

Can’t we do both? Can’t we defend the rights of the unborn without losing our Christian charity towards our enemies? Jesus did not say: “Love only your neighbor that agrees with you”. Jesus did say: “Love your enemies. Be good to those who persecute you”

I think this actually is germane to this whole discussion. The whole problem is that there seem to be those who have made pants wearing women the “enemy” and have treated them with a lack of charity. There are also people who have treated those who advocate dresses and skirts only for women as the “enemy” and have treated them with a lack of charity.

No matter what our disagreements, we still should remain true to our faith.
