Papal Homilies will focus on the 4 great Eastern Church Fathers

This great! Where can I find transcriptions of these homilies?
 
They havent been given yet (next 4 Fridays in Lent is when they will be given) . But if I come across transcripts (not sure if they will post them), I’ll let you know. 🙂
 
Father Raniero Cantalamessa, Preacher to the Papal Household, is a dynamic and powerful homilist. I always look forward to his Lenten offerings. Very commanding speaker.

Still, my favorite Catholic Preacher remains Father George Rutler. Everytime I listen to him I feel as though I have been edified (spiritually and intellectually), and I always long to hear more. He is the personification of clarity, in my view. I wish EWTN would offer some current programming featuring Father Rutler.
 
This is really great. They will likely be compiled into a book when they are complete. If you haven’t had the pleasure of reading some of the other books that the pope has released about the saints compiled from his homilies, then you really need to get the set. They’re not nearly as deep as “Jesus of Nazareth”, but most of them present simple 6-8 page chapters introducing important saints in our faith (with the exception of St. Paul, which goes with the series but is devoted entirely to him). They are surprisingly insightful and enlightening for such brief sketches.

The list of books are:
  1. Jesus, the Apostles, and the Early Church
  2. St. Paul
  3. Church Fathers from Clement of Rome to Augustine
  4. Church Fathers and Teachers from Leo the Great to Peter Lombard
  5. Holy Men and Women of the Middle Ages and Beyond
These books (in this order) also go roughly in chronological order from earliest saints to most recent.
