Since John Paul I (only three i know but bear with me) no pope has been Coronated. My question is simple, do you think the next pope should be coronated or inaugurated? My personal opnion is that he should have a coronation, and i say that because its tradition(i have a few others that i dont feel like typing right now because as i type this i am tired), like it or not that is my reason :p. but if you could explain YOUR position, i would be much obliged 😃

No worries, it’s not the sort of thing I would normally have thought to search for. Edit: I also brought it to your attention b/c I thought you might like to see what people said and the links/photos that were posted.

thanks, are you the one who voted no, and if you did then why?

That was mostly a vote for, “I don’t think it will be brought back, and I don’t see a point in worrying about it.” I’d much rather see the pope on the sedia gestatoria with flabella, but wearing a miter, than wearing a tiara and riding in the popemobile. 🙂
