Correct.

Also: When Peter wrote his two epistles God prevented him from making an error. Despite having denied Christ, Peter went on to write inerrant scripture. This is proof that God can hold sinful men infallible when the time calls for it

It’s so worrisome that you can see so clearly what I’ve taken time to do or not!
I’m not critisizing Christ’s wisdom in appointing Peter, the Prince of Apostles.
I’m saying when Christ returns He can modify or abrogate all previous standards.

I can go with that. Christ did it to the Jewish rulers, and He can do it to us.
But UNTIL THAT DAY, Christians are bound by the authority Christ established on earth, and that authority is the Pope and the Bishops united to him.

Jesus made that clear is regard to the Pharisees. Just mere days before he instituted the New Covenant, he told the Jews: “…The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the chair of Moses; therefore all that they tell you, do and observe, but do not do according to their deeds; for they say things and do not do them” (Matthew 23:1-3)

So, even though they were sinners, Jesus STILL recognized their authority, even though he knew he would topple that authority soon.

Protestants disobey Christ by rejecting the authority he established on earth.

We don’t see that Day as far off. We feel the “thief in the night” has come and gone, and the world was sleeping. No one could know the Hour before hand. the nineteenth century was a time I did not expect either.
Now, global problems exceed our abilities to solve them. Christians are geared to individual salvations, when it is the saving of the nations and the whole bio-sphere that’s at stake.
That is why the Universal House of Justice has been ordained by Bahá’u’lláh.
The two great institutions should talk. Really.

The Day of the Promise is come, and He Who is the Promised One loudly proclaimeth before all who are in heaven and all who are on earth, ‘Verily there is none other God but He, the Help in Peril, the Self-Subsisting!’ I swear by God! That which had been enshrined from eternity in the knowledge of God, the Knower of the seen and unseen, is revealed. Happy is the eye that seeth, and the face that turneth towards, the Countenance of God, the Lord of all being. ~Bahá’u’lláh, quoted in The Advent of Divine Justice, p. 78

We don’t see that Day as far off…
Who is “we”? You have a mouse in your pocket? That day is far, far off, I assure you.

But even if it is near, what I said still stands: Until that days comes, Christians are bound by the authority Christ established on earth, and that authority is the Pope and the Bishops united to him.

We Bahá’ís, whose spiritual and administrative centers are both in the Holy Land.
I’d say it looks like He came at an Hour you did not expect.
If you read to be informed, not necessaily with conversion in mind,
you will see why millions do believe this most recent Source of infallibility.

Tablet to Pope Pius IX from Baha’u’llah

“Blessed is the man that hath set his face towards God, the Lord of the Day of Reck-oning.” Baha’u’llah, Kitab-i-Aqdas

I don’t think the OP has responded to this thread in a month. Maybe it’s time to close this and post any lingering issues as a new Thread?
