I just scrolled on my DirecTV channel guide and found out that (and I hope this is right), EWTN will be broadcasting the feed from the Papal Mass for the Feast of the Epiphany. The live feed begins at 3AM. The rebroadcasts are set for 11AM and 5:30PM. These are CST. If I am up, I will try to catch the live feed. If not, I will rush home from work to see the Mass.

EWTN always broadcasts the Papal Masses. Unfortunately, whoever is doing the filming (it seems it is usually a British TV station) can’t seem to realize that we can see what’s going on and don’t need to hear their non-stop commentary. Translations are good, but I don’t need commentaries while the pope is processing down the aisle and the choir is singing.

The feed comes from the Centro Televiso Vaticano and the commentary is provided by the English-language section of Vatican Radio. So, the folks from Vatican Radio are having to deal with two audiences, the TV viewer and the radio listener, as they are handling both tasks at the same time.

Of the commentators, the best one is Chris Alteri because he makes a point of stopping during good chunks of the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Emir McCarthy, the woman with the British accent (as well as Sister Janet Fearns, who used to work there) are also really good.

John Cardinal Foley is okay, but, he tends to get a bit carried away with things.
