Parallel Vulgate/English Bible

Does anyone know of a parallel Vulgate/English edition of the Bible? I’d prefer book form over internet. And hopefully something that wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg.

I know the navarra bible orginally had the vulgate on the same page as the RSVCE. In the later editions they seem to have dropped it.

Thank you. I’ve seen the Baronius, and it’s rather out of my price range at the moment. I didn’t know about the Loreto, I’ll take a look at that.

The New Advent Catholic Encyclopedia Bible has Latin and Greek but I don’t know if it’s the Vulgate.

Are you looking for the Old Latin Vulgate or Ierome’s Latin Vulgate?

Maybe this is an unhelpful suggestion, but you already have an English Bible right? Why not just buy a Latin Bible and use the two books side by side? Keep in mind that a Latin-English Bible will be twice as cumbersome as a single-language Bible.

The Baronius Press sells one. I own it and its pretty good. You can also find versions of these online such as the website in my signature (which I think is pretty good). The link to the hardcopy of baronius press version is here:

Are you looking for the Old Latin Vulgate or Ierome’s Latin Vulgate?

You probably won’t find either. That site (and it’s a very good one, I should add) has the Clementine Bible which tried to consolidate all previously available handwritten copies of the Latin Vulgate.

The Old Latin Vulgate was not one edition, but many editions. And there is no complete OLV extant.Saint Jerome famously complained that there were almost as many editions of the Bible in Latin as there were copies of the Bible in Latin. The Latin Bible before Jerome is the Old Latin Vulgate.

We also do not have any editions of Jerome’s work. we have only many different later edits, based on his work.

I believe that the Baronius Press work is the 2005 Tweedale edit of the Clementine Vulgate and the 1899 Douay-Rheims edition, if I’m not mistaken. It’s expensive but high quality.
