Parish course provides help on journey through Bible

Jeff Cavins is awesome! His Scripture Studies are indispensable, in my opinion, when it comes to catechesis. I really think God is working through him to revitalize people in their faith through the bible. Many people have told me they have learned more from his Bible Timeline and Matthew studies than they have from years of other studies - most of which were very superficial and not credible. Very impressive. And, he seems like a nice guy on top of it all!
 
We have multiple Bible studies in the parish where the group picks the materials and a few that are formed for specific courses like Catholic Scripture Studies. We have a multi-year course (hosted at several parishes in the diocese including mine) in conjunction with the U. of Dallas that offers in depth courses and a certification of some kind also.

I’m in a monthly Bible study with my Christ Renews His Parish sisters. We went through spiritual formation in 2004 and decided to continue to meet occasionally as a group. We never have the entire team because there are more than 30 of us. Sometimes someone has a new baby at home or someone is ill, but it is a great addition to my faith journey. I know that many of the other CRHP teams (men and women) have continued to meet as study groups over the past 10 years that we have had the program at our parish.
