Parish priest putting inflammatory political content in the bulletin

It at least cuts very close to the line.
I wouldn’t worry about this as we have a President who values religious liberty. Now if you have a liberal President and a Bishop decides to speak out against abortion, defend marriage or even dare to believe all lives matter including police officers then yes that would be time to be concerned about persecution.

Ok, I am not worried about “persecution.” I am mainly concerned about our parish’s reputation and witness for Christ, which unfortunately has already taken a big hit as the bulletin and other materials make the rounds on the internet.

Actual persecution for the cause of Christ is an honor, but it’s not persecution to get flack for posting over-the-top political memes. (I don’t know if you read what the memes in the bulletin actually said - I gave a couple of examples several posts back.)
