Hello, anyone have a fabulous Parish to recommend in the Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, South Bay area of Los Angeles?

We will be in town unexpectedly this weekend.

Thank you,
Nicole

I wonder, why is it that we get questions like this on CAF so often. Won’t any old Catholic church do? It’d be different if you were going to a strange country or a really remote place and you weren’t sure if there were any Catholic churches there at all. But there are bound to be Catholic churches all over Los Angeles. All you have to do is drive around till you see a building with a huge cross on it (-: You’ll probably even spot a Catholic church on the way to the beach. That’s what my family does when we travel… why the need to look up parishes in advance? They all have the same Mass ya kno…

Sorry to have troubled you with my question. Yes, in fact there are so many that I thought perhaps I would ask here to see if someone would suggest one in particular. Kind of like asking for any type of recommendation when you travel. Sometimes it just feels better to walk in knowing that So and So from the forums recommended it.

If anyone actually goes to a Parish in the Beach Cities, I’d love a recommendation, thanks.

Nicole

Ah alright… and by the way I wasn’t troubled by your question… more that I was curious…

Hi Nicole,

I’ve been here many times, and it should serve your purposes quite well.

When I visit my daughter at Redondo Beach, I go to Mass at St.James. It seems like a lively parish. It actually looks like a Catholic Church on the inside. It just depends on what you are looking for.
