Parish recommendations in the Sacramento area

Hello,

My wife and I are planning on relocating to the Sacramento area this August. We have been living in the Seattle area to this point, and a difficult part of the move will be leaving our parish - which is reverent, Eucharistically focused, healthy, and growing. Very helpful for us, and as our family grows (we’re expecting our first in November), it is important for me to find somewhere similar to connect.

I wanted to ask if anyone might have a recommendation of such a parish in the Sacramento area? We would be willing to drive a bit if necessary…

Hello!!

I have been to a few parishes. The one I’d recommend is

Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary
4123 Robertson Ave
Sacramento Ca 95821

The priest is very nice, he has a great joy and love of the Euharist that is very apparent during mass, and I’d say about 50% of the laity receive on the tongue. Also, the choir leader likes to use the organ. I love this parish.
 
Also, the pastor’s (Fr. Leatherby) family owns the best ice cream shop in town. Awesome ice cream and burgers. Just be careful what you order. I ordered what I thought was a two scoop bowl of chocolate ice cream with some toppings. It came out in what can only be described as a sink for a bowl! It was so huge!!
