I am heavily considering moving to Ireland and was wondering if anyone know of a thriving Catholic community/parish in Ireland. I’m looking for a traditional community, but not necessarily an extraordinary form community. God bless. :kissme:

I only know about the west…small parishes, traditional, OF Masses.
Not a lot of parish activities though. But lovely people, great priests.
Maybe someone else can speak to other places.

I hope you make it nbhart.

I am an American living in NW Ireland and I find the people here incredible.

Nonetheless, Irish Catholicism is under dreadful attack. Traditional folk from abroad can help …

I think the rural W NW and north are still the least affected. I am very impressed personally by the very sincere and moving Fr Roland Colhoun in the city of Derry who does both OF as well as EF once a week. (Londonderry on the map but noone calls it that! Look for the diocese of Derry.) He inspires many here and there is a lovely group around him, although I am not so close to his parish.)

My wife and I write blogs where we talk about Ireland. Also if you scroll right down to the very bottom of the page to the red block, you will find some links to other traditionally oriented Catholic sites and bloggers in Ireland which may be of use.

The address for my blog and my wife’s is below in my signature …
