Morning during my prayer i was complaining to God saying that “You(Jesus) are partial and as others are there in your love from so many days you fulfil their wishes and You are ignoring me”.

Evening I laughed at myself thinking why did I say like that. And to my surprise i was browsing through some bible readings and explanations and I saw the following statement
“He(Jesus) doesn’t have any favourites and He wants to be known.” Does this mean God is saying that He is not partial Can anybody please explain me.

A translation I have states that God shows no partiality. Darned if I can think of the verse, though. It was in the context that people look at the outside and give preference to certain people, but God knows us inside, and we are all the same in His eyes.

Beware of an attitude of entitlement. I was reminded of this just today. I answer calls for a local warehouse that gives baby items away to needy moms. A woman called wanting diapers, and only diapers, and was very snotty about it. Well, I guess I failed God’s test, as I mentioned to her that she had a nasty tone of voice. Well, she demanded my name and was going to get even with me, until I reminded her that I am a volunteer. I’m not saying that is your attitude, just that God doesn’t have to give away good things and we need to have an attitude of gratitude going in.

If you want something, ask for it. He wants us to. If you don’t
get it, don’t worry, He heard you. Ask for what you want, and

Thank you . One more question. In case if 2 persons are praying for the same issue.One prays that i should happen and the other it should not happen. Lets say the first one who prays it should happen is right. Then how will God justify. I think God will be confused as both are dear to Him . I think i have a silly question but just wondering how God might feel and respond to whom.

Hello Anu. God does not have to answer prayers at all and everything He does will happen in accordance with His will

Thank you. I understood it. So its like, God already decided that this is what going to happen and he will do that according to what He planned whatever we pray for. Am i right in understanding?

But we always pray that it should be in our favour, but God will not change his Will, so is that the reason we say “please do this as per Your Will”

As you mentioned Iam new to Christainity, so many questions are arising in my mind and i get only chance to get it clarified here as I have very less Christain circle. Iam comparing with my life issue. Iam praying that I should get married with someone and his parents might be praying not to happen as they are against me. From 1 week something was going on in my mind whether God will listen to me who is just a beginner OR will He listen to his parents who are so close to Him and were in His love from so many years. I understand everthing happens according to His will. Now I understood that God already decided what should happen and He will do it as He wishes. Thank you for explaning me . And sorry to hurt others feelings.

Anu I will keep your intentions in my prayers. I will also pray that your fiances parents will be a bit kinder to you.

Remember though, that God exists outside of time, so to Him, it does not matter how long you have been a Christian, He loves you and wants the best for you.

We do not know his will, it is possible that this is a possibility for you to become closer to his parents, to earn their favour.

So nice of you. Thank you soo much for your prayers. There is no chance of me becoming closer to his parents, because they didnot see me at all, they just saw my photograph once. They are not at all ready to see my face. They just said no. I donot know why they are so against me. God has put in me in a very good position in my Job pulling me out of all my problems. Iam just praying for his parents and as well as for my marriage. I just placed everything at His feet.
