Participating in an irregular Mass

With all the irregularities that seem to be occurring during Mass in some churches when is it permissable to refuse to attend Mass? If the Mass becomes irregular in form are you committing a sin by participating?

Afterwards bring it to the pastors attention, ALONE. If he refuses to change, take a small group, and if again take it to the bishop. That is your obligation. To report errors so that our bishops may correct them.

Wither not not they do, you need to go to mass anyways. If need be, use the irregularities as a form of mortification for yourself. Be and example for the others! We cannot change anything by ducking our tail and running.
 
I have often wondered the same thing. We have a church near my hometown, where the priest will arbitrarily omit parts of the Mass. For instance, once he omitted the Our Father and another time he omitted the Gloria (at a time when it was not liturgically correct to do so). I did not have the guts to question him about it but my sister in law did. His response was “because I felt like it”.

I forgot to add that this particular priest asks the congregation to remain standing after the Sanctus until the Great Amen
 
I don’t think canon law, the precepts of the Church, etc. really envision the current state of the Church in which some areas offer predominantly “irregular” Masses, so I don’t know that you could get a cut and dried, printed out answer. However, our obligation to attend Mass is, in my opinion, an obligation to attend a valid Mass in communion with Rome. While I’ve attended some shameful Masses in my short life, I don’t think the answer is to withhold from God the worship due to Him just because the priest wishes to do so improperly. Rather, it seems best to assist at such a Mass and always urge the priest through all means available to reform his fidelity to the Church.

Don’t. You are not permitted to obey your superior in unlawful matters.
 
As for irregularities, I suffer them and offer that suffering to God. So long as they do not invalidate the Holy Eucharist, then I know Christ is present, and His presesence is reason enough for me to attend Mass, despite these irregularities.
