Pascal on "wretchedness"

Can anyone help? I am writing a paper on Peter Kreeft’s book Christianity for Modern Pagans where he deals with Pascals Pensees.

Pascal talks all about human “wretchedness.” Can some of you please give you thoughts on what Pascal meant about wretchedness.
