Yesterday was Luminous Holy Paskha of Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Had to have many red eggs from tradition of Holy Magdalene with Emperor Tiberius. Had to have Kulich because it is delicious:

i attended the russian orthodox church in my town for their paskha service saturday night. very moving. i saw more emotion there than most pentecostal churches i have been too. it was long though and standing the whole time sucked. i kept reminding myself that Jesus went through much more for me so it was good in the end.
funny sidenote… when we were walking around the church with our candles, my wife and i were directly in front of the priest who was swinging the incense and bells. he nearly hit her in the back of the head 4 times. he finally noticed and started swinging it out to the side.

Too bad Pascha here is more subdued, since Orthodoxy here is still quite small compared to where you are. Still, it was a blessed event, and we did get to enjoy the pizza afterwards.
