Hi. What is your opinion on the what age I could show the movie The Passion of The Christ to kids? I have a 15 yr old and an 11 yr. old. Thanks.
It is fine. It is a factual event and it is about our God who incarnated. I have never understood why so much fuss over this movie? Yet so many are against the Passion and yet their kids watch other filth?Hi. What is your opinion on the what age I could show the movie The Passion of The Christ to kids? Probably because it’s graphic and could upset them or give them nightmares? Of course it’s a good movie for many adults, but I would never show it to a sensitive child. The 15 yr old may be fine, especially if they don’t express any concern themselves. 11 is very young to show it to them, especially if the kid is sensitive. 14 or 15 is about the youngest I would show it. I certainly wasn’t ready to see it before that.Hi. What is your opinion on the what age I could show the movie The Passion of The Christ to kids? I have a 15 yr old and an 11 yr. old. Thanks.
Agree. Also view the movie with them, to be there for questions & explanations. There are very graphic scenes in this film. I would allow teenagers to view it with parental guidance. I probably wouldn’t show it to an 11 year old. However, some kids are more mature for their age. Use your judgement to decide whether your youngest is old enough.
Definitely not for an 11 year old. It’s a great portrayal of the passion, but an 11 year old is too young to have such a graphic portrayal of violence shown to them. Personally I wouldn’t show it to a 15 year old either.Hi. What is your opinion on the what age I could show the movie The Passion of The Christ to kids? I have a 15 yr old and an 11 yr. old. Thanks.
I completely agree with Brendan.Definitely not for an 11 year old. It’s a great portrayal of the passion, but an 11 year old is too young to have such a graphic portrayal of violence shown to them. Personally I wouldn’t show it to a 15 year old either.
It is a very powerful and moving portrayal of the Passion, but it isn’t suitable for children.
Me, too. You might consider letting the 15 year old watch it if he/she is mature enough to handle what they will see. Have you seen the movie? If so, you should be able to judge for the older child. If not, you need to watch it before letting your children watch.I completely agree with Brendan.
That’s what I was thinking.Have you seen the movie? If so, you should be able to judge for the older child. If not, you need to watch it before letting your children watch.
Watch it, it’s amazing. It is the most moving film I have ever seen, a great portrayal of the Passion. It is not comfortable viewing by any means, and is very upsetting and disturbing in parts, but isn’t that what the Passion is meant to do to us anyway. In my opinion, Mel Gibson got it just right. A VERY Catholic movie.Lately, though, I’ve been wanting to borrow it. I can always have a craft project at hand, so I can avert my eyes briefly if it gets to be too much for me.
I think it depends on the child; some are more sensitive than others. But I would say maybe 15 or 16 years old as an approximate minimum age. As I am sure you know, the movie is very violent and graphic – but it is an excellent movie.Hi. What is your opinion on the what age I could show the movie The Passion of The Christ to kids?
