Well, I hope this is the appropriate Forum for this thread, but I’m sure it’ll get moved to the right place if that’s appropriate!
Anyway, God bless Father Mills, the professor of the Synoptic Gospels course at Holy Apostles this term. He allowed me to go “outside the box” of the usual grad papers, and create a mise-en-scene (a kind of overall blueprint) for a Passion Play for the 21st Century. I’m wondering who here has attended a Passion Play performance, either Oberammergau or more locally. What were your impressions? Is the Passion Play a vehicle for evangelization?
This was important to me, in writing my paper. A Passion Play should engage and evangelize, not just entertain.
