Are there any convents of Passionist nuns where the EF of the Mass is celebrated daily?

Here’s some more information I found about the TLM at the Monastery:

The Masses at the Monastery apparantly were once offered by the CRNJ, but now I believe they are offered by Fr. Keller.

Also, here’s the contact information for the Nuns from the Archdiocesian website so you can check for sure:

I do believe that the Passionist Nuns in St. Louis still have the TLM. Here’s the story of what has gone on there:

I don’t know any information other than this so calling them would probably be your best bet at finding out. Good luck and God Bless!
I am sorry to say they do not.

The Canons Regular of the New Jerusalem DID offer Holy Mass there on Sundays, not daily. Due to some unforseen circumstances, the Canons are no longer in the Diocese of St. Louis, so there is no longer a TLM at the Passionist Convent. However the English Benedictines at St. Louis Abbey, took over the West County Latin Mass community that the Canons once served and now have daily Mass there.

Why did the Canons leave and where did they go?

There was a misunderstanding about the property they lived on and they had to move on. There is conflicting stories about what all transpired, so I’ll leave it at that.

Father Oppenheimer has moved to California and is with…I THINK…a Norbertine Order. The young men studying to be priests were sent by Archbishop Burke to the Angelicum in Rome for their seminary studies and formation. It is said they will come back in 4 years.

I am going to get a list to update everyone here on all the Tridentine Masses that are popping up in the St. Louis Diocese. There are many priests learning it right now, so in a a year it should be available in most deaneries and areas. No more long distance pilgrimages on Sunday mornings, just short ones!!! 👍

Fwiw, I know two priests who are planning on offering the Tridentine Mass asap. Problem is the parishoners are NOT with the priests. One priest wants to offer it now, but doesn’t have enough parishoners requesting it (I want to say they need 20 people to make the request). Sad.

PS~

I have the understanding that the Mass was permanently moved December 2 from the Passionists convent to the Oratory of Sts. Gregory and Augustine. I wanted to add that.

I can’t believe I have never heard this before. I thought that the CRNJ were doing just fine. I guess that’s not the case. Pretty sad. Their website doesn’t even mention anything about this. I hope they come back soon, and eventually spread out to other Diocese. I know they’re needed in my Diocese.

Thanks so much and I for one would be grateful for updates. Let us increase our prayers and sacrifices for the priests, that they return to the traditional rites.
