In case you have not seen this. Extremely disrespectful…

He does this sort of stuff regularly. Another version of Jack Chick.

I post this here because it demonstrates the sort of nonsensical, anti-Catholic bias that still exists out there. I have seen some Christians say they don’t ever see any anti-Catholicism. It quite clearly exists lol. If something seems “non biblical” or odd to him, time to make fun of it and claim it’s damnable.

I hate that guy with a STRONG HATE. You ought to see how he also mocks Judaism when he knows NOTHING about it. He’s just a goofball and of course rejects the Holocaust.

From Matthew 10. Slight paraphrase.

“If anyone will not listen to your words, leave that person and shake the dust off your feet. Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that person.”

Sometimes, we should just take our evangelistic efforts elsewhere because our words are wasted on people.

I don’t know why people let this sort of thing bother them so much. It is just based in ignorance. There will always be ignorant people.

Simply pray for him and quit giving him Youtube hits, which is what he wants. He doesn’t care if you love his stuff or hate it, he just wants the Youtube hits. Ignore him, that’s not giving him what he wants.

Thank you for posting this. Catholics should be made aware of stuff like this. You are right…some Catholics think everything is hunky dory and belittle those who understand there is a battle going on.

Probably because of the influence material has on people we care about. I have friends of other Christian faiths who think this and it puts such a chasm between us.

Sorry. I watched it. He seems like he enjoys standup comedy and like a standup comic is not at all burdened by the concept that humor at someone else’s expense is the lowest form.

Edit: sort of like some Dane Cook standup I had the misfortune of watching where he likens the Eucharist to cereal.

On the one hand, Anderson is a rather extreme example of purporting to represent Christ but doing a terrible job at it. That should at least make us a little upset.

Not to mention, it’s hard to tell how much influence anyone will have. There are of course businesses and individuals that have found some degree of success by playing off ignorance and paranoia.

Granted, Anderson is just one of many. He’s a bit loud and extreme, but I don’t really see the point in seeking him out to be outraged. Better to address his nonsense when we encounter it ourselves naturally.

My sisters went to a Bible camp over the weekend (they are both teenagers in RCIA), and, whilst they had fun, my older little sister pointed out that she was very angry that they told her “there’s no Purgatory”. I got out my Bible, and showed her verses from the New Testament that seem to imply otherwise. I told her, that being Catholic in the South(ern United States) means that she needs to be able to give a biblical defense of the Catholic Church. Most of the literature they had (that I read) was fine. It said that we could only be saved through Jesus. It may surprise some of the Southern Baptists there to know this, but that’s what we Catholics believe! And in situations like this, you have to wonder whether or not this is all based on misunderstanding, or they intentionally misrepresent the Church.

I guess I just figure life is too short to invest too much into something like this. I worship the way I choose to worship. I do my best to maintain good healthy relationships with my family, even if they believe differently from me. It is the best I can do so I don’t worry about fools who show their ignorance in this kind of way. They are free to do what they choose to do, and I am free to ignore it.

I absolutely agree with you and for the record I do not understand Pastor Anderson. However, it would be helpful if someone who knows why for sure, could explain the rationale for the clothing of the Pope and Cardinals including the headcoverings and usage of Holy water. People who are in fact ignorant of what the meaning is cannot find its usage in the Bible, which is their reference point. A priest once explained what holy water is hen I asked by simply saying it was water with the hell boiled out of it.

I agree. If I am being honest, I have to admit that to an outsider it probably looks like very silly dress-ups for grown up men.

Some people choose to be ignorant because it fits their agenda. Not much we can do about that.

I wonder what the apostles would have said if they walked in here there even Luther pretty much any christian who takes there faith seriously should have a problem when they run there “church” as if it was a comedy show. What ever happend to reverence how do people take this type of thing seriously. The title should be the absurdity of Protestantism. Because these people make themselves look like fools similar to how the satanic temple make themselves look like fools when they mock Catholics.

I wouldn’t waste my energy on a guy who uses an abandoned office space for his fringe evangelical church. All this video does is prove his ignorance.

For those saying don’t give him any youtube hits…he does not monetize his videos.

I do sometimes have a go-around with his fellow rabid, anti-Catholic commenters so it’s worth my time If I can reach even one person on there.

I saw this video and I had to say, this was over the top even for him, a notorious Catholic hater.

I’ve heard his anti-Jewish comments. They are rather disgusting as well. Didn’t know he was denying the holocaust though. Eeeek.
