Please pray for his soul and the EF community in Syracuse. Msgr. Gleba offered the EF of the Mass on Sundays at 4pm, and I am not sure if there is anyone able or willing to take over that Mass.

I saw this in the book of prayer intentions that’s in our Perpetual Adoration chapel this morning (I live just to the east of you, jilly). I was shocked-I know that he hadn’t been well lately.
He’s got a brother who is also a priest, Fr. William Gleba. He knows how to say the EF Mass, but he hasn’t been too well himself in recent years.
Yes, I’m thinking the same thing-who will be able to take over the 4 pm Mass at Sacred Heart Basilica? I know of only three priests in the diocese who offer the EF Mass, and they are thinly scattered and in busy parishes anyway.
So sad that Monsignor will not be here to celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday and the Beatification of John Paul II-but you know what? He’s now got the ‘best seat in the House of the Father’!
