Pastor Benny Hinn meets with Father Cantalamessa

If this is his motivation, it reminds me of Simon the Sorcerer:

[20] But Peter said to him, “Your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!
[21] You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for your heart is not right before God.
[22] Repent therefore of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, if possible, the intent of your heart may be forgiven you.
[23] For I see that you are in the gall of bitterness and in the bond of iniquity.”
[24] And Simon answered, “Pray for me to the Lord, that nothing of what you have said may come upon me.”

If there was hope for this man, there is hope for Hinn, too. After all, a grave sinner doesn’t go to hell unless he dies unrepentant. So, let’s pray for him!

Thank you for reminding us all of something very important. Benny Hinn is not beyond the power of Our Redeemer yet. Let us all pray for his conversion, that God may yet reach him with His grace and that he may be forgiven the terrible evil he has done and the scandal he has caused abusing the Holy Name of Jesus.

Well, at least Benny Hinn wore a black suit instead of his usual white one to meet with the Cardinal.

Yeah, black – but ever notice that his designer duds, of whatever color, imitate the Roman collar?

Somebody should have told Fr. Cantalamessa to “just say NO.” He is being used by Hinn just like his TV sponsors, Paul and Jan Crouch, use images of the Madonna, JPII the Great, and other Catholic symbols (including videos of Bishop Fulton J. Sheen) to attract Catholic bucks to their coffers.

Hinn portrays Fr. Cantalamessa as being HIS admirer!
