All one needs to do here is observe and reflect on this speaker’s antics. There is so much seemingly vain contempt that lacks charity in this man’s disposition, I am guessing that Our Blessed Lord might have quite possibly referred specifically to him when He said, “You will know them by their fruit”. He has an interesting way of “loving the Catholic”. If you want to “test the spirits”, it will not be difficult to truly identify where this individual’s heart seems to be with his seeming diabolic diatribe against the Rosary. When a soul proclaims enmity with the Blessed Virgin Mary, one needs not to go any further with testing the spirits. PRAY FOR THIS SOUL!!!
 
There has always been preachers and ministers that disagree publicly with the Catholic Church, Pastor Anderson’s rhetoric is neither novel nor shocking.

He just has a bigger audience than he would have in a previous era where you could only hear him if you wondered into his church, heard him on a street corner, or if he was lucky, heard him on a radio ministry.

I wouldn’t pay him much mind, I would just understand that his jibe resonates to one degree or another with a lot of people.
 
For an iconoclastic little cult, they sure do have a sizable painting on that wall.

Why would you think that it would disappear? The original iconoclasts were in the 7th and 8th centuries, its not a new line of thought, and not something which is likely to disappear.

I agree totally that this speaker displays vain contempt that lacks charity. It destroys his credibility and hurts his own cause. The sad truth though is that he does not have a monopoly on those characteristics.
 
Too funny. I know this guy from his exploits with the Border Patrol. On youtube, enter “steven anderson and border patrol” if you want some entertainment. He won a court case against the BP for beating him silly and tazing him at a checkpoint. He is one of those who refuse to show id or roll down window. I still don’t understand why people like him spend so much time discussing the RC faith with his own congregants. I guess they have to fill their hour somehow…

Our Creator has gifted the Holy Catholic Church with the Sacred Image of our Divine Teacher, the image “made without hands,” i.e. miraculous.
Referencing this Divine Image our Church fathers of the 7th century concluded that reproductions of the Holy Face were permitted.

That permission has been extended into other sacred scenes.
I doubt that Pastor Steve knows or cares much about our Lord’s Holy Burial Linen and the Sacred Blood and Image contained therein. Therefore he is in error.
 
Whatever fills his pockets with gold…pray for him, he’ll really dislike that!
 
My question would be why some of his statements don’t violate “hate speech” laws in the applicable jurisdiction.

Hi LA

I think it was maybe a year ago when I referred you to Anderson concerning the King James only movement. He does have some other attributes as well as you seem to have noticed 🙂

Disturbing to me that more than 1 person is sitting in that audience cheering him on. Same lecture he makes fun of Mother Teresa because she is dead and burning in hell, according to him.

I’m not. If one thinks they have a infallible interpretation of the bible, they may start to think they are on some sort of crusade for God. And when that happens, cover the statues up as they may come in with a baseball bat and start destroying them. It’s happened here…many thousands of dollars of damage done as some anti-Catholic zealot wanted to teach Catholics a lesson.

What surprises me is that respected individuals like Dr. White have given him the time of day. He has this hardcore KJV only mentality. I mean, I sympathize with the KJV only folks because I know the NIV and others have problems, but when you start saying you must use KJV or you don’t have the true word, and you are going to hell, then you have crossed a dangerous line. He already seems to lack the fruit of the Spirit so nothing he says surprises me. …But he is comical lol
