In what has become an annual tradition of prognostications, religious broadcaster Pat Robertson predicted Tuesday that a terrorist attack on the United States would result in “mass killing” late in 2007.
“I’m not necessarily saying it’s going to be nuclear,” he said during his news-and-talk television show “The 700 Club” on the Christian Broadcasting Network. “The Lord didn’t say nuclear. But I do believe it will be something like that.”
Robertson said God told him during a recent prayer retreat that major cities and possibly millions of people will be affected by the attack, which should take place sometime after September

I just read this on foxnews.com. They pointed out that he predicted things before, and they usually don’t come true. He predicted that Bush would win re-election easily, but we know the story that followed. Just another grab for attention…sigh…

It’s difficult to believe that anyone still takes anything Pat Robertson says seriously.

 Same old thing

False prophesying… Nostradamus said many things as well, and yet, we haven’t seen any come true.

You have got to be kidding! This MUST be the end times. Because this blatent False phropecy goes on all the time by people like Robinson, Benny Hinn, kenneth Copeland and etc. Actually if you had to list all the so-called prophets it wouldnt fit.
How do we get people to turn away from this nonsense.

“Robertson said God told him during a recent prayer retreat that major cities and possibly millions of people will be affected by the attack, which should take place sometime after September.”

Then at the same time he says: “I have a relatively good track record,” he said. “Sometimes I miss.”

I thought GOD revealed it to him. I have never know God to miss…
Watching this nonsense is frustrating isnt it?!

Pat Robertson is a huge embarrassment to the Evangelical movement and an example as to why freelance Christianity is a mistake. I’m thankful to be a Catholic, where we have oversight by responsible leaders over claims of personal revelations of this sort.

I put Pat in the catagory of the psychic network.😦

The only thing worse is saying *after *an event “Oh, I knew that was going to happen.” Pat Robertson is a fine man, but I wouldn’t put much stock in his predictions and revelations. Now, however, if Mary should appear as an apparition…

I went to the mat for Pat over his leg pressing exploits but this one leaves me a little exasperated…

Yeah but I remember reading that he did all that weight with the machines brakes on - then tried to publicize it like it was some abnormal feat of man. But I guess its still impressive to do that given his age.

Pat Robertson, if you can hear me please convert to the Catholic Church pronto. Its painless and you wont have to spend an eternity in Hell for teaching falsehoods because you will likely be on the probation plan and may have to agree to not teach ever again. Write some witty books about your journey to the True Church and make your money that way. Please. Get out of the mess you are in.

Trust me, if past Marian apparitions (approved and unapproved) are anything to go by, if Mary appeared there would be squabbling for months if not years, not to mention endless investigation, before the Church made its collective mind up that she could be safely believed.

So we’d better hope if she does genuinely come to warn us it’s well ahead of time :yup:

Now that would be a good thing! All of Mary’s predictions have come true. 😃

That’s approved apparitions, btw. 😉

Didn’t God also tell him that he would be president a few years ago? I couldn’t believe how many Catholics ran to that guys camp…

The problem for Robertson is that he claims to be a biblical christian. If he was just making his own guesses about what might happen, that’s pretty harmless, but to claim that God revealed this to Him is claiming a genuine prophetic gift. Using the biblical test, if he is wrong then he is a false prophet, which should discredit him in the biblical Protestant community, but it doesn’t, which is even more disturbing.

Hopefully for him, nobody will hold him to the biblical standard and try to stone him.

While on the subject of “false prophets” has anyone heard of a self proclaimed prophet named David Terrell from Dallas, Tx?
