Paternity test 'clears' priest who is suing Irish TV Network over rape allegation

"A PRIEST accused of fathering a child with an underage girl has been cleared by a paternity test, the Irish Independent understands.

A lawyer for Fr Kevin Reynolds (65) last night said the results of the test had come back negative.

Fr Reynolds voluntarily submitted himself to the test in the wake of an RTE ‘Prime Time Investigates’ programme entitled ‘Mission To Prey’. It alleged that he committed statutory rape by fathering a child with an underage Kenyan girl called Veneranda while she was working as a maid in a house he frequented in Africa 30 years ago."

A television programme accused this Priest of fathering a child and it is false? Unbelieveble. Is he clear off all charges of statutory rape?

This is the power of being blameless before others.

I hope this happens more. Priests who are innocent sue the secular authorities, and get money from them. Rather than the seculars trying to bankrupt the Church with their lawsuits.

When someone who is innocent is falsely accused of something, in my opinion why wouldn’t you then counter sue someone for libel, slander, and lies (which come from the Devil?). This is righteous indignation, and that is the privilege of people who have a speck in their eye who are accused by people with planks in theres.

The fact that Fr Reynolds is “co-operating fully” is a good sign; and if hes cleared, i hope he takes RTE to the cleaners. Is it trying to ride the bandwagon of current Irish anti-Catholicism as per Kenny and Co? Looks like Paisley isnt the Church`s only enemy in that part of the world.
