mmm…if you read her earlier posts they are definitely anti-male. She went on a feminist diatribe about past perceived crimes and when I challenged her she evaded.

People who rant about how terrible feminism is often have a lot of fear in them, in my opinion.

I can’t speak for Nimzkov but let me be clear. I am NOT putting the child’s welfare below the the biological fathers. All I was getting at was a woman’s husband has a right to know if he is or isn’t the father so he can CHOOSE whether or not he wants to father the child. It would be noble of him to do so. It is also responsible of the wife to say she had an affair for 2 reasons. The first is that she has now exposed her husband to STDs. He has a right to protect his body from being harmed which could impair his ability to provide for his family. The second is if the other man comes after his family he needs to know what to be on the look out for. My point was it is simply unjust to keep ones husband in the dark about ones affair.

Lastly, we made a lot of assumptions here. We’ve assumed the woman wants the child and the man wants the child. There is no reason why either should be given preference since their sin is equal. Of coarse in the hypothetical scenario we don’t know if the other man has an accepting wife or not. If both parties were accepting I do not see a reason why the woman should be given preference. Giving a woman preference when a man is willing to take responsibility is no different than giving a man preference for a job when a woman is equally qualified. This is why the law usually gets involved. I see no reason to continue to debate this but I did want to bring up the issue that women do harm men with their actions despite what some people have said here.

While I do not disagree with what you say in the first paragraph, in your second para, you appear to have forgotten the child’s rights and appear to be more concerned with punishment and a man’s right to take his biological baby away from the baby’s mother. I know a woman can breastfeed her adopted baby after taking some hormones but a man?? So a man who has made a woman pregnant can walk away but at any time should have the ability to demand rights to the baby. The woman physically gives birth, then holds the baby in her arms, bonds with and has to live in fear that the man will come knocking one day?
The analogy of equal opportunity for jobs is ridiculous, sorry.

So what you are saying is it is OK for a woman to use a man’s body to take pleasure from him. Then it is also OK for her to tell him to get lost and never come near her or HER child again. That is a very un-Catholic and anti-Biblical statement. When a man and woman conceive a child they no longer “own” their own bodies. In fact as is said in Mark 10:8 the two are no long twain but become one flesh. The “one flesh” is not more woman nor more man. Just because a woman bonds with a baby that is no reason to give her preference because men bond with babies too. Science has shown the “daddy brain” is not a myth.

Yes, a man can walk away at anytime but a woman can have an abortion and walk away. A man has no say in that matter regardless of what his morals are. Since their sin is equal neither gets preference as being “less selfless.” Also, most men would probably walk away but an extraordinary man wouldn’t. Any man that wouldn’t walk away from a child he fathered in sin is equally capable of being a parent.

Having intimate relations, whether illicit or not, is like bringing food to a party. You don’t own the food you bring to a party because you brought it, it is for the group to share. Taking it back without being given it back is called “indian giving.”

Girls want sex just as much as boys and many are pressuring the boys to do it now! In the last article 52% of boys report having sex because their partner wanted to.

I have a problem with women who have THAT attitude you quoted! When a man and woman have sex they sacrifice themselves to each other. That is Catholic teaching. A woman submits her gift of birthing and the man submits his of impregnating. The simple fact is without either gift no child is formed therefore they are EQUAL. I know SOME women don’t like to hear that but once you give something away you don’t get it back unless the person you gave it to willingly gives it back. In this case if a man said “I don’t want the child, its yours” that is a different story. I support equal rights but giving women a legal or moral preference for any reason is not equal.

He doesn’t seem to think women use men for sex too. Adultery is adultery no matter who committed it. Both use each other.

My comment about age is that older generations believe the woman to be the virtuous one with little desire for sex. They frequently paint men as the one eager to get in a woman’s pants. You know the old saying parents tell their daughters “you know those boys only want one thing.” Well girls want it too. That was my point.
