Anyone know of a saint for back problems? Hubby hurt his back and we need help quick! 🙂 Thanks!

I don’t know, Amie, but I’ll pray for him. Apart from the horrible pain issue, does it affect his work? Maybe St Joseph can help. As a carpenter he probably hurt his back sometimes lifting heavy wood or bending over his work for tow long.

Anyway, God grant your husband may follow whatever treatment that helps his recovery, Trishie

Thanks Trishie!

St. Joseph is actually perfect. I often look at my husband (my son’s stepfather) as being much like St. Joseph because of raising a child that isn’t biologically his and working so hard to provide for us and taking responsibility. I’ve also asked St. Joseph to be with my son over the years due to not having his real father in his life. Ten years passed as a single mom with no male figure in the household and so I love to think that St. Joseph was there with us.

My husband is having a hard time working with his back pain right now. He is a truck driver, over the road, but he is plugging away. He really needs to get it checked out. He fell the night before he left and hurt it and I’m just praying for a speedy recovery. I hate to see him in pain and he is also our only income!

Thanks.

It sounds like you’ve done it tough. Being a single parent, as for you 10 years, isn’t easy. You were blessed to have been found by your husband. And he to have found you! Your son also to have found a good Dad. Please God your husband will be able to have his back checked and treated, if necessary. Hopefully it is largely bruising and muscular swelling that will pass. God bless you, your husband and your son and keep your all safe.

Trishie 🙂

Isn’t it so funny? I’m sure at time that it was tough being a single mom but you know I would not trade one single minute of that time for the world! I have the best memories and it made me and my son so close and now he’s 20 and we still are as close as ever. It was us against the world from the time he was 2 till he was 12, lol. I look on those as really some of the best years of my life.

I was lucky also to have supportive parents that lived nearby and good neighbors and was so relieved to be out of an abusive/alcoholic marriage that I suppose single parenthood seemed preferable! lol.

I definitely am blessed now also. Thanks so much for your prayers.

You might include St. Gemma Galgani in your list of Intercessors. She suffered from spine and back problems. Here is a link, which gives an account of one miraculous cure. But I believe, she still wore a painful back brace for a large part of her life. God bless.
