A website said St. Anthony of Padua was the patron saint of Native Americans. I thought it would’ve been Bl. Kateri Tekakwitha.

It is actually Blessed Kateri as well as St Juan Diego(especially for those with mixed blood-mestisos) and St Katherine Drexel because of her work with Native American people. I have no idea where that website got Anthony of Padua. St Anthony’s my bud but no. In Mexico, St Martin de Porres is very popular because he was half black and half indian and is also a patron saint of the poor. Perhaps the wesite doesn’t list Bl Kateri is because she hasn’t been canonised yet. I’m about half native american and have quite a devotion to Kateri. I guess you can’t always trust the internet.
