Actually, the sister who ran the RCIA program told us they wouldn’t be recorded anywhere. Go figure.
🤷 Well, around here, and maybe it’s just a local custom for us, the names go on the Confirmation certificates as part of the person’s middle name. It is a symbol of our joining together with the Communion of Saints, and the taking of a new name also signifies a new kind of deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, as Abram became Abraham, as Sarai became Sarah, as Simon became Peter, and as Saul became Paul.
I’d simply assume she was just following the RCIA as the Church indicates it should be celebrated without adding anything else.
Minimalism makes me crazy - I’m just glad I don’t have to work with her. :whacky:
 
My husband became Catholic few years ago and during rcia picked a Saint name for comfirmation. I have a question. What Saints are named with the Great?
