Patron Saint

Hi!

I’m new to this site, so if this is in the wrong section, can someone help direct me to the right one? (Preferably providing a link as I am technology challenged )

Anyway, I’m getting confirmed in June and I’m having trouble selecting a patron saint. I’m stuck between these saints: St. Gemma Galgani, St. Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows, St. Mary Magdalene, Bl. Miguel Pro, and Bl. Pier-Giorgio Frassatti.

BTW; I’m 25 years old, female, and live a pretty adventurous life and would love to be humble like these saints. If that helps with selection process

I was confirmed last year as an adult and chose St Gemma Galgani.
I recommend her!

Also, how did you find out about her and the other Passionist saint Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows?
I’m just curious!

I actually don’t remember how I heard about St. Gemma Galgani. She just sort of appeared one day when I was surfing the internet. I heard about St. Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows when I read St. Gemma’s biography. I really LOVE St. Gabriel’s humility and St. Gemma’s piety and utter devotion to Christ. I love these two sooo much!

I would go with Bl. Miguel Pro only because he is a patron for athletes and an unofficial patron of skateboarders. I like skateboarding so that’s my vote.

I’d personally choose St. Gabriel. Humility is something we all need…

I am very fond of St. Gemma Galgani, St. Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows, St. Mary Magdalene, and Bl. Pier-Giorgio Frassatti (esp. the former 3). I don’t know as much about Bl. Pier-Giorgio Frassatti, but he definitely seemed like the adventurous type.

There are some good biographies on St. Gemma and St. Gabriel if you haven’t read them. Doing so might help you to decide.
