I have discovered there are patron saints for so many things in this world.
Does anyone know of a patron saint for profanity?
If you do, can you please tell me who it is?
Thanks!
Karen

If there is, I have no idea who it would be. I know St. Dominic Savio often opposed other boys’ language, though.

There’s a story about St Joan of Arc rebuking a soldier for using profanity ‘when he was on the point of death’ - and he fell into a well and drowned half an hour later. If that isn’t an incentive not to swear (or commit any other sins) I don’t know what is!

It sounds like St Joan of Arc punished him.
I like to think of God as one who does not punish us.
And I would hope there aren’t any saints who punish sinners.
Thanks anyways…

Not punishing at all - warning. And unrepentant sin DOES have consequences. A reminder to repent and sin no more 😃

A warning.
Okay…now I hear ya!
And I do agree there are consequences.
I can’t say that I have been able to conquer every sin but I have made improvement.
