I know that you may not or cannot understand this. But you are against me personally. Because Jesus said you are either with me or you are against me. If I am with Jesus, and you deny Jesus and do not accept him as your Lord and Savior, you are against him correct? So if you are against him. and I am with him. How can you not be against me also?
Errr… Rinnie, I am against worshiping him as God. That is strictly forbidden by God, to have other gods before Him. And He specifically says there is not any other God beside Him; no other Savior next to Him; there is none, but Him.
But, I am not against the teachings that Jesus brought forth. In fact, in the last few pages of this thread, I am the only one who HAS been defending the teachings of Jesus.
I am not against you. You can keep saying it until you are blue in the face and it does not make it any more true. I do not believe in holding to such a mentality that says all have to agree with my perspectives and be like me or they are against me (or I am against them). That is the equivalent to the playground bully mentality… no matter WHO displays that attitude… Jesus, the mother of Jesus, the Pope, even you. So, no, I am not against you. I just find you to be lacking in logic concerning what you are saying. That is all… almost. I also find it concerning considering that I know what you have said in your post is exactly the mentality that is shared by many. You say
I am against you because I do not agree with worshiping an image… that is displacement of blame that is so common when one cannot logically back up what it is they expect others to believe. It centers on threats of punishment, false accusations, etc when the rewards and the vain lip service (false love) fails to win another over to the illogical ways of thinking that is christianity.
You may be against me, but IF you are (which I am not seeing any evidence of you being such necessarily), you only are because you are confused… therefore, I do not take offense.
To me when you say that If Jesus is God, God is a liar, do you realize how hurtfull and evil those words are, They are like a razor cutting my heart. Jesus is both human and divine. Both God and human.
Rinnie, if Jesus is God, then God
is a liar. How can you possibly reconcile that Jesus is God and not in the same token be calling God a liar considering the following:
Num 23:19
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Hosea 11: 9 I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.
Isa 45:21-22
…there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.
Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
Isa 42:8
I am Jehovah, that is my name; and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
To even say that Jesus, a man, can save us all via a one time fix blood sacrifice of his body is to, again call God a liar… how can you reconcile the two opposite views you are trying to claim?
Psa 49:7-9
None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:
(For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever: )
That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption.
Ezek 18:20-21,27
The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.
Deut 24:16
The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
WHAT GOD DECLARED:
Eccl 12:13
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Eccl 3:14
I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.
