So, after Demetrius says things rolls eyes about Paul, the town is enraged and then confused… This is how it works when one can talks about Paul, no? Confusion always ensues.

The next person mentioned is Gaius, one of Paul’s companions getting taken hold of after Demetrius supposedly attacks Paul. Here is what is said about him by Paul.

Romans 16: 23
Gaius mine host, and of the whole church, saluteth you.

I Corinthians 1:14
I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;

And then John (rolls eyes), endorsing him along with Demetrius, the idol maker? Odd, no?

3 John 1:1
The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth.

Strange… well, hold on because it gets even stranger…

Aristarchus is mentioned in Acts 20: 4; 27:2; Colossians 4:10; Philemon 1:24

Now, the latter is interesting in that someone named Demas is mentioned with Aristarchus.
Colossians 4:14 He is mentioned again with Luke, the (note the following word) beloved physician (give away as the same sticky sweet language that is so dripping with backstabbing pride).
And then 2 Timothy 4:10 uh oh… Demas forsook Paul, having loved the present world (God forbid that someone would love the present world… which is actually contradictory to what God’s thoughts were in Isaiah when He said He did not make it in vain. So I guess God would not forbid such a thing).

Well, as you can see, there is already so much flipping confusion here and it seems wherever Paul is in Acts there is confusion. Sheesh, right?

Note a few things… taking place with Ephesians (of whom Paul has association with).

Paul tries to enter into the “theatre” and the disciples do not allow for it as well as his asian people urge him to just stay away.

Huuuuuuh???

I am going to skip to Alexander… the one put forth by the Jews. Now, it is obvious that Alexander says something that upsets the Diana worshipers. Why don’t we look into a bit of what it is the goddess Diana is about, shall we?

Diana is associated with wild animals. Hmmm… so is the tribe of Benjamin, specifically wolves, interestingly enough the same tribe from which Paul lays claim to. Wolves in sheep clothing anyone? She is the emblem of chastity… hmm… can we think of anyone else that is worshiped and prayed to (mama) that is a symbol of chastity? She made up a trinity interestingly enough as well… Egeria ~ water (Spirit perhaps?) and Virbius ~ the woodland god (or son who died on the cross anyone?). Diana was Hellenized (Paul was Hellenistic), which ended in her appearing next to drum roll the god, APOLLO.

Now, here is my assignment. Go look up the following passages and when you are finished, come back and tell me what you now know as I know about our Paul of the NT.

Acts 18:24; 19:1; I Cor 1:12; 3:4; 3: 5; 3:6; 3:22; 4:6; 16:12; Titus 3:13 (be not mistaken… Paul is endorsing here).

Can you explain this account in Acts any better. Look at what Paul says about the Jew (which we already know he has issues with the Jewish… don’t you wonder why?) put forth named Alexander, that upsets the Diana worshipers.

I Timothy 1:20
Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.

2 Timothy 4:14
Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works

By the way, Alexander is mentioned with the disciples in other passages.

Paul is a deceiver and you all have been taken in. Is it really worth it to hang on to something that none of you thus far have been able to come close to showing me I am wrong about? I am trying to warn you and help you toward the Truth because it is important to me.

Come up with a better account for this strange surreal “theatrical” play of events in Acts and I will listen. This has always given me the creeps.

Remember Matt 5: 17-19 is enough to show that Jesus took the position of the Sealed Word of God, so anything that Paul says contradicting it is also contradicting the teachings of Jesus.

God stated in Isa 42:8
I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

The references are far too numerous, but just a quick read through the first 5 chapters of Romans will show you that Paul does not understand God’s name is LORD and not Jesus Christ.

Also in reference to the above passage, note “and my glory will I not give to another…”

But Paul says:

Phillippians 2:11
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

How many contradictions are we up to now? 🙂

God’s Word sealed with Mal 3: 6:

Isa 45:21
…and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

Isa 43:11
I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

Hosea 13:4
Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.

Paul says:

Phillippians 3: 20
For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

2 Timothy 1:10
But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

Titus 1: 4
To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.

Titus 3: 6
Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

God said:

Joel 2:27
And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

Paul said:

Galatians 5: 2
Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

no doubt Paul! I would think they are rather happy about that fact given God’s promise in Joel 2: 27 and having it sealed with Malachi 3: 6

And here is seen the brilliance of God 🙂

Jesus says:

Matthew 7: 15
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Paul admits:
4 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:
5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;

And in the Sealed Word of God:

Genesis 49: 27
Benjamin shall ravin as a wolf: in the morning he shall devour the prey, and at night he shall divide the spoil.

Can you make the connection? 🙂

It is as the God OF Israel said:

Isaiah 45:

19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.

20 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.

21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

24 Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.

25 In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

Psalm 2… Kiss the Son!
Hosea 11:1
When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt. 🙂
Which laws that Jesus meant in Mat 5:17-19? Which laws was observed by the Jewish during Jesus’ time. Ben Masada has no answer for this question, perhaps you do.

Ya know what my rule of thumb is? 👍

If while I am reading the Word of God, I feel a prick in my heart, then I take note and consider. It never takes long to figure out what it is and I adjust my perspective accordingly. Ben is the more knowledgable about the Torah than I am in the way that it is observed by the Jewish. I have been confirmed that I am on the right path. And it all has to do with that one Seal that keeps me secure (one you do not have on your faith)… Malachi 3:6 The LORD does not change.

The Laws of God are perfect for convert-ING the soul. It is enlightenment!! It is Truth!!

Psalm 19:

7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

Look at all the gorgeous things He has set up in His Laws that you all are missing out on.
If you would, notice the converting the soul; the making wise the simple; rejoicing the heart; enlightening the eyes. sighs in adoration

So, you take your quick fix… I like God’s ways. But the OP laid down the premise and I am complying.

Keep looking for the correct tripping stone… you can not find it when it comes to those who know the Truth. 🙂

Before I go on, you are saying that you can prove that the Third letter of John was written by Paul?

I gave you a website to read. Read it.
Tsk Tsk. I will read it when and if I get around to it. Have you read it? If so, then bring forth where it is declared that Jesus Christ is God in the prophecies. Bring forth where Christ is even mentioned in the prophecies. Bring forth something that at all tells me I am wrong and I will consider it. My time is limited and I, unlike most here, do read the prophetic books in the Tanakh (in their entirety and often)… but I read them under the condition of Proverbs 2: 1-7 rather than allowing man to interpret them for me. 🙂

Before I go on, you are saying that you can prove that the Third letter of John was written by Paul?
👍

First, I have to wonder, being a follower of Paul, how one could NOT tell this was Paul’s writings. <---- How I feel that he is that into so many people’s heads they can not see the obvious … Do you read Paul’s writings? They are one and the same. But here, let me do more of the work for you.

3 John 1: 3
4I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

2 Corinthians 6:13
Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged.

Galatians 4:19
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

Hebrews 2:13
And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.

3 John 1:
2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
5 Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers;
11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.

I Corinthians 4: 4
I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.

Also, concerning the above:
Paul is the only one I know of that continues to talk this way:
3 John 1:
13 I had many things to write, but I will not with ink and pen write unto thee

I Corinthians 4:17
For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.

I Cor 10:14
Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

Phillippians 4:1
Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.

Concerning the “write” verse in 3 John that I posted a bit up:

I Corinthians 14:37:
If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.

I Timothy 3: 14
These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:
The above is the kicker concerning the verse after the “write” comment in the 3 John verse…

3 John
14 But I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to thee. Our friends salute thee. Greet the friends by name.

Greet, Salute, Peace… all of these are such common themes in Paul’s writings that I am left shaking my head at… well… sheesh!

Simplynoone,

With your interpretation does Isaiah 9 (For a child is born to us, a son is given us; upon his should er dominion rests. They name him Wonder-Counselor, God-Hero, Father-Forever, Prince of Peace) and Hosea 11:1 *(When Israel was a child I loved him, out of Egypt I called my son.) *compliment one another or are at odds with one another? Does Wonder-Conselor, God-Hero, Father-Forever, Prince of Peace name the Almighty or the nation?
I am merely acknowledging that I do see what you are asking me. But there is someone else who gets my thoughts on this first and out of respect for said person, I will not yet post my thoughts on it. However, I do not see Jesus’ name in there mentioned. Do you? what about Christ? And the only Son declared by God in the whole of the Tanakh which was sealed by Malachi 3:6 is Israel, and therefore you can not insert your own idea of Son. That would be speaking against God. 🙂

So, if we have a bunch of letters written today, and they all start with:

Dear ________
and end with:

Love,

That means they’re all written by the same person? Wow, those are some serious reasoning abilities you have there.

🤷 Seriously? It was not just a standard heading in which I showed. It was a style of writing. Read 3 John. He slanders, he salivates over others, and it is the exact same style as Paul… the whole of it. If you say otherwise then you are indeed admitting your ignorance in Paul’s writings. It is one in the same. Still, this was just a side note that is obvious, but I have presented much more factual evidence of his deception. Why don’t you hit on those?

I’m hardly worried about offending you - you’ve consistently shown that that is impossible 😃

But do stop claiming you’re here to be converted when you are clearly not. I am absolutely justified in thinking you are a fickle person or an argumentative one. Personally, I lean towards the latter.
True to the first sentence. To be honest, all you do is feed into my pride in having the Truth because you never bring anything other than insults… which is quite complimentary to me, as it shows me you have nothing else. 🙂

To the latter part of your post… I am neither of what you offer. I am right and that is what bothers you.

Faith is all that is required for you to be saved by Jesus. Think about it.
Wrong! The foundation upon which your faith is even able to exist (speaking of the Tanakh), mentions faith 2 times. One time, the Hebrew translation is faithfulness (which is different than the faith that you are speaking of). The faith that you are speaking of is mentioned ONCE in the whole of the Tanakh and it is in Habakkuk 2 and it is a warning against Paul to the very words that he speaks.

Knowledge, however, is mentioned WELL over 200 times. Yes, I was that adament about the Truth to find out. There really is not much you can bring to the table that I will not have answer for. I sought after God for His sake… it cost me my faith and it was the best move that I have ever made in my life. 🙂

Believe me, you have enlightened no one, and you refuse to read the fulfillment prophesies.
I do not doubt this at all. To be enlightened, in the Truth that is, you have to have God’s favor first. To have God’s favor, you must seek after it as though your life depended on it… because it does. Proverbs 2: 1-7 would be a good place for you to start on your path to enlightenment. 👍

{your 2nd comment did not show up, but you said I had not read the site you posted with man’s interpretations of a few selective verses out of the books of prophecy}

As for your second comment, true. Because I obey God and not man. I trust Him because He has given me reason to trust Him. Man has not. I do not need man to interpret the prophecies because God declared that man would not be able to interpret them as they would be fulfilled at the time they were happening so that you and everyone else could not claim it was your god doing it. That is found in Isaiah. 🙂

The claims about Paul can only be made with a blind eye toward the Gospels. For example, some believe Paul invented the Last Supper. However, Jesus Himself celebrated the first Holy Mass, as recorded in all four Gospels.

By the way, this is what experts believe Saint Paul looked like:

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0b/PaulusTarsus_LKANRW.jpg
Well, that Paul invented the Last Supper, is not too far from the truth, considering that the Supper before Passover is called among us the Seder Meal, which was held in that year 30 on Friday, which Jesus could never have partaken of. He was on the cross. That was the 14 of Nissan. Next Saturday was a Shabbaton. That is, the Festival of Passover on the Sabbath. Therefore, Paul could very well have invented the Last Supper after all.

Ben:

How can you judge me or my faith. When you do not even know what faith is. Who gives you the authority to teach others about faith when you have none. Let me explain to your what faith is. Faith is trust complete trust in God. How could anyone anywhere have complete trust and follow someone that they have no faith in. Could you explain that to me.
I didn’t. That was God, not me. I have not singled you out. What have you brought forth to prove your faith is not blind? Don’t tell me I have judged anything when I have supported everything with the Word of God. Talk to Him about your insecurity. If He puts His stamp of approval on it, then good for you! 🙂

Ben:
Ben, considering Paul was so into this "beloved’ term, and considering what I have said about 3 John… I am wondering if our “beloved” Paul had his hand in that as well. Just a thought that progressed as I brought forth the evidence in which was asked for by the OP. 🙂

Simplynoone

Genesis 15:6 Abraham put his FAITH in the LORD.

Hebrews 10:39 those who have FAITH possess life

Romans l:17 It is revealed the righteous of God from Faith.

What do you have to say about Abraham and his faith, I am sure he was blind also. Just like Me. Blind faith, I can see how you do not have it, you cannot possess something you cannot comprehend.
Here is what my version says:

Genesis 15:
1After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

2And Abram said, LORD God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?

3And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.

4And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.

5And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.

6And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

As far as the believe mentioned… I am 100% trusting in God… no doubt in my mind exists about Him, His Word, and His hand on my life. NONE!! And this is because He has proven Himself not only to never change the foundation on me (malachi 3:6), but He has proved Himself in a very personal way as He promised in Malachi 4 so that I would not be decieved by the same character, the steward of the house, in which Abraham speaks of. 🙂

So, the Paul verses you speak of… tell me, why should I believe him. Am still waiting for an answer…

Very well founded suspiction, Simplynoone. You might be on the right track.

Excuse me, How can I do that when I am perfectly secure in Jesus Christ. You have supported nothing with the word of God, You may have taken scripture out of context but that is surely not supporting the word of God.

You start out this way, you and ben, doing anything you can to try to discredit anything we believe in. But for what, I mean what are you really trying to acomplish. Does the bible and the Christian faith, and writings of Paul, John, etc really upset you that much. What is it about the truth that sets you off. All of it, some of it. The bible is inspired words of God, Remember what you are saying, CHOOSE YOUR WORDS WISELY. You will answer for all you do. I will pray and ask God to forgive you, I think thats all we can do right now. I believe the help you need is not on this site. It is much deeper than that.

Well to begin with you should have the Catholic Version, if you want to discuss Catholic faith, and the catholic bible, you should begin there. YOUR version means nothing to me. We as Catholics go by the Church. You know the Catholic Church, the Living Christ, What Jesus left to us, until he comes AGAIN in glory. So thats the problem there, your version. We go by Gods Version. So how can you even begin to understand the readings of Paul and teaching’s of Paul when you clearly show you don’t have them. I suggest you spend some time alone today in your room. Asking the Holy Spirit to help you, with Grace from God to give you some Peace you desperately need. If you go to Our Lord Jesus Christ he can help you with that. I have not the power or the help you are seeking, but Jesus does. But again I will pray that you some how find peace in your heart, that you are clearly in desperate need of. Then next you may want to pick up a Catholic Bible and start reading. Then you can at least have the right scripture before you try to determine it for yourself. Then you can find in there that you cannot define scripture, it must be taught to you. By the Church that GOD LEFT US. Thats your best chance at this point.

Also I have to ask, Why do you ignore questions asked of you. I quoted you scripture on Faith, You told me I should not be blinded by faith. I asked you what about the faith of Abraham. I quoted you scripture on Genesis, what does that have to do with Paul? I clearly stated Abraham.
