is anyone here familiar with Dr Horrigan and his writings? I began searching the Web this morning for some readable essays on metaphysics, to aid my study of the Summa Theologica, and ran across a number of blog postings and several complete “e-books” by this gentleman which appear, so far as I can tell from only an hour or so of reading, to be totally in line with Magisterial teachings. His writing is extraordinarily easy to follow compared with many others in philosophy and theology, and focuses on classical philosophy, theology and the Magisterium. Much of what I’ve seen attributed to him qualifies as solid Catholic apologetics, as good as anything I’ve read here at Catholic Answers or anywhere else.
What is driving me a little bit nuts is that I can’t find a bio on him anywhere–where he teaches or taught, where he studied, etc. Despite the wholly orthodox tone of everything I’ve read so far, this bothers me a little bit. Maybe it shouldn’t, but it does; I like to know more about a writer than his or her name.
Can anyone help? Thanks!
