Isn’t there a recent one?

I saw a movie on him that is at least 5 years old now that I really liked.

I would be willing to watch it, but for me, Jim has already been Jesus, so he’s a little type cast for me in that role, as far as Christian movies go. It kind of alters the viewing experience.

I think it opens today where I am anyway. Might go on the weekend.

I like the movie. I like Paul. What else can I say? He’s a real mensch.

Thanks for posting. Good interviews with the cast. I think I will probably see the movie tomorrow.

This was a great film! I really enjoyed it!

As for the new film, I will probably wait until it comes out on DVD.

Hyatt is Catholic, so the silence about Peter in Rome — or even Linus and Clement, among his first successors as bishops of Rome — seems an odd missed opportunity.
Dang. Should have included that information in the movie.

OK but really. How can you not mention Peter in Rome, or utilize the historical knowledge of Linus and Clement, but instead focus on “Priscilla and Aquila”

The movie is about Paul, not Peter. And from the novelization, Peter died before Paul.

Maybe he is planning a later movie about Peter and wanted to focus on Paul in this movie.

Welcome. I liked Scott Hanh’s use of an old beauful christian proverb I never heard before:

They buried us, but they didn’t know we were seeds

I saw the movie today and I liked it. I am not a fan of religious movies, but I thought this was well done. A good cast.
I liked Olivier Martinez who was in charge of the prison and the actor who played Paul. I was able to see Jim Caviezel without seeing “Jesus”.
I recommend it even though the ratings on rotten tomatoes were not good.
