Paul was the first apostate?

This quote was taken from another thread where it was off topic.

As to Paul, he was disobedient to the commands of Jesus in every way, and everyone uses Paul to justify their apostacy because he was the first apostate.

I hope you will explain this, because this does not make any sense to me.
