My ex wife and I were not baptized, let alone church goers, during our marriage.

The cause of our divorce was her unilateral decision to get our third child aborted.

This sent me into an emotional tailspin which ended with our separation then divorce.

Does it reasonable for me to claim Pauline privilege in this matter?

Thanks in advance.

– And yes, I forgave her since.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your third child, and for the consequent loss of your family.

What I do know is that your prayer and concern for your ex-wife’s soul, will touch the heart of God to mercy for your ex-wife’s soul.

God will not be less forgiving and less merciful towards her than you are.
.
May God abundantly bless you. May God hear your prayers for your ex-wife and your children.

Favor of the faith can be interpreted quite broadly, so yes I would suggest you start with that if you are seeking baptism and marriage in the Church.
