I heard on the radio today that Raymond Arroyo is involved with a project that brought Luke to music. Choirs. A Dublin Protestant and Catholic choir.

It is supposed to air on PBS during XMAS time. But my local PBS station is unaware of it.

Arroyo gave a website, but I must have written it incorrectly as I find no live link.

Does anyone have info or a link?

I love PBS and would even more if their rightful pluralism extended to something like this.

I think you are referring to “The Birth of Christ.”

But I can’t find it in the national PBS listings. 😦
That’s my problem. Arroyo said today it will be on PBS. But the “big” market stations in the West I contacted (LA and Bay Area’s KQED) said its not so.

This is the second time I’ve ever heard CAL. IHR just came to the Bay Area. I hope I have not been lead astray and can’t rely on what is said on CAL. Very discouraging - I had wanted to share this with secular PBS lovers of mine.

In addition to the Alabama listing for Christmas linked above, it is also being shown on WLIW on Long Island on Saturday the 22nd.
KCOS in El Paso on Sunday the 23rd.
WNPT in Nashville on Sunday the 30th.
CET in Cincinnati on Tuesday the 25th.
WMHT in Albany on Sunday the 23rd.
KCWC in Wyoming on Wednesday the 19th.

Couldn’t find a listing in North Dakota, Anchorage, Sacramento, San Antonio, San Diego, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, South Carolina, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Rhode Island, San Juan, Salt Lake City, New Orleans, Albuquerque, Maine.

My state won’t be airing it, which is very disappointing. I wonder if the local catholic bookstore called Gloria Deo would carry the DVD or CD?

From the EWTN website:

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE BIRTH OF CHRIST:
A CHRISTMAS CANTATA 30 min
This inspiring, musical celebration powerfully brings the Christmas story to life as never before. Recorded live in Ireland, this historic presentation of Andrew T. Miller’s Birth of Christ brings together a chorus of singers who raise their voices in unity and peace around the central mystery of their faith: The Birth of Christ.
