PBS World Channel: ‘Rick Steves’ The Holy Land: Israelis and Palestinians Today’: 5/26 at 9PM

Length: 2 hours
Rick Steves tours the Holy Land, including Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Hebron, Bethlehem and Ramallah. He also learns about the security walls, disputed settlements and challenges facing the region.
The friendly PBS travel host goes to Israel and the West Bank, visits cities and towns and some of the Holy sites, and talks with ordinary Israelis and Palestinians about social problems facing the region today.

I saw it before. If you missed it, get the PBS App, and see it online.

I have some disappointing news.

It looks like the Rick Steves program is probably (I’m guessing) only airing this week on my local PBS World Channel station, which is overseen by WTVS Detroit, as part of their Pledge Drive.

WTVS is broadcast throughout Canada as part of the Rogers Cable lineup of channels; so you’re either going to have to be southeast Michigan or Canada in order to watch the program.

But there’s an equally interesting program that will regularly broadcast at that time on World Channel about the Pyramids of Egypt:
9:00 p.m. Eastern
May 26, TVPG
Time Scanners: Egyptian Pyramids
The team travels to Egypt to scan the pyramids - the tombs of the mighty pharaohs - to find out how the necropolis evolved from simple mud-brick structures to the most impressive buildings in the ancient world. They use their cutting-edge laser technology to scan Djoser’s Step Pyramid at Saqqara, Meidum’s collapsed pyramid, the mysterious Bent Pyramid at Dashur and the famous Great Pyramid at Giza.
Sorry about that; check your local listings to watch the Rick Steves’ special on Israel; my local PBS station has now shown the program a couple of times.

‘Rick Steves’ The Holy Land: Israelis and Palestinians Today’ is also available to watch on the Rick Steves Europe channel on YouTube, so you can also watch it there.
