Happiness happens. It’s not something we’re guaranteed in this life, but is a grace and blessing if we find it, even temporarily.

Peace, though, coming from Hebrew ‘shalom’ means “wholeness” or “completeness.” We find peace when we’re whole and complete, accepting of God’s will for us, even if that means pain, misery, and unhappiness.

Do you think there are even times when God doesn’t wish for us to have peace?

I tend to doubt it. There are too many places in Sacred Scripture… where God expresses His desire to grant us peace.

It’s us… who deprive ourselves of peace. And sadly, we sometimes deprive others of peace as well. 😦
