Peacefull Christian, Militant Muslims

Judgeing from recent news and world events it seems we like to believe that we, Christians, are a more peacefull and civilized religion and Muslims are a more violent and militant religion. If Muslim countries possessed all of the wealth, good fortune and military might that the western Christian countries now possess and if Christian countries were in the economic, political and military postion of current Muslim countries, then do you suppose the Muslims would be more peacefull (since they were less in want) and the Christians more militant(since they would be more deprived)?

I think the line from the Koran that says it all… “Take not the Jew or Christian as your friend.”

Jesus said, “Love your enemies.” Pretty much says it all don’t you think?

On Ayatollah Sistani of Iraq’s website, he lists the following ten things as being “najis” (filthy/dirty) in Islam:

Urine
Feces
Semen
Dead body
Blood
Dog
Pig
**Kafir (Non-believers)
**Alcoholic liquors
The sweat of an animal who persistently eats najasat

Contrast the teaching by Muhammed that non-believers are dirty like feces to Christ, who was always amongst the least “desirable”, for instance when he cleansed the lepers. He never taught that any of God’s people were “dirty”.
