How massive?

Here are some ideas:
  1. Eat them
  2. Sell them
  3. Give them away to friends and co-workers
  4. Make peach jam or preserves
  5. Can them
  6. Make peach pies
  7. Freeze them
  8. Cut them in halves or smaller pieces and dry them
 
Make jam! Or peach cobbler. Or prepare them by taking the skin off, slicing them up and freezing them. Peach pie. Peach ice cream. 🙂
 
The wife and I just began canning this year. Lot of cucumbers which are now on their way to becoming pickles. Yum.

I think we might have to buy a bushel of peaches and give them a try!

Freeze them - easy-peasy & they make the best dessert. Make homemade biscuits, break them in half and load them up with real butter, then spoon partially-thawed peaches over them. Then, if you want, some heavy cream drizzled over the whole lovely mess. 😃

By the way, why do they call it “canning”? Shouldn’t they call it “jarring”?

If it wasn’t against the rules I would send you my address, postage paid on delivery! Frozen peach cheeks are a must on a summer’s day.

Consider yourself very fortunate…the long, cold winter here destroyed the peach crop, and our local peaches are usually the best in the world [a lot of people probably say that…].

Earlier this summer, peaches, along with several other fruits, were recalled because of a link with Listeria monocytogenes. :eek:

I work in the microbiology department of our hospital lab, and none of us in the dept. have eaten peaches this summer. We’re a paranoid group when it comes to bacteria!
 
I love making fresh peach topping to use on pancakes, waffles, and French toast. We usually go through peaches fast but this makes them disappear even faster. 😃

I also like making peach pies, and have found that it is not necessary to peel them (peaches are among the more annoying things to peel IMO). The skin melts into the filling and turns it a really nice pink.

Not Carolina peaches! They are the best, anyway. 😉
 
You have more peaches than you know what to do with? You are so lucky. We have a peach tree in our backyard that seldom produces peaches, and when it does, racoons from the forest preserve nearby harvest the crop before we can get to it.
