Looking at all of these threads in Family Life, now that the kid ones are in parenting, all I see is
faces! So I wanted to add something a little light-hearted
A few nights ago, my husband and I were talking about kids growing up, and I mentioned that I had read on CAF a while back that someone wrote something to the effect of “In a few years you won’t be longing for one more hot shower, but one last game of peek-a-boo.” DH replied, “Awwww, that makes me feel all sad!” And he was quitely thinking for a while. Then he added “Well, actually, I still play peek-a-boo with my parents!!” referring to how we try our hardest to avoid them! The night before, my MIL called and I answered the phone without checking caller ID, thinking it was DH calling from the cell on his way home from work.
Was I surprised to hear *her * voice (and not in the nice way either!) It was very funny at the time
