Im not in RCIA yet (I am baptized Catholic) but never received first communion or penance?

How does God deal with the sins of those who are waiting to participate in the Sacrament of Penance?

I know my sins are retained until I confess to a priest, but Im curious what others have experienced as God draws you nearer to the Church & penance?

My daughter has her first confession Feb 9th & we have been practicing her prayers. 🙂 Im very excited for her…
 
This is a good question for your priest. You can ask him if you could go ahead and confess your sins early (as a baptized Catholic), or if he would prefer that you wait until you complete your RCIA process to complete your sacraments. And congratulations on your daughter!
