As a recent convert who wears a crucifix I was wondering about other symbols of the faith.

Can, for example, a patron saint be on the same chain as the crucifix? What about a miraculous medal or other symbol of Our Lady?

I don’t want multiple chains and I don’t wear the crucifix as a “fashion statement” as it is generally inside of my shirt.

Greetings to the new kid in Finland:wave:
I thought the name looked awfully scandanavian. There is no prohibition about wearing multiple medals and such with the crucifix as long as you’re comfortable with it. The one advantage I’ve found is that with multiple chains they sometimes get tangled up espcially if you also wear a scapular. Wearing them in or out is a personal choice as well as what and how many medals to wear so go with whatever works for you.
BTW wearing the crucifix out isn’t always a “fashion statement” but, can also be a faith statement especially since Catholics are a small but, growing minority in scandanavia from what I hear.

I wear a crucifix and two medals on the same chain. It’s a lot easier than wearing different chains!

Just make sure you get a chain that is heavy enough to hold everything. 🙂

Hi and congrats on swimming the Tiber!
I used to wear crucifix and a woolen scapular, but they were all the time so tangled that I felt that one day I strangle myself in them accidentally. 😛 Now I wear only scapular medal. 🤷

(Here is another Finn btw., but already over 4years in other EU countries ;))
