How does the Catholic Church treat the honor and prerogatives of the Pentarchy in this current age?

Who is the most senior Pontiff now that Pope Benedict has abdicated and what roles do they play in the Catholic Church? Is it one of the Pentarchs? Or is it a Latin Bishop?

Do the Catholic Patriarchs now have more autonomy since the See of Rome is vacant and theoretically no one has oversight over them?

The Holy See is made up of all the Bishops, the only thing that is vacant is the Seat of Peter. And without someone filling the seat, many of the duties of the Pope are put on hold until a new Pope is elected. No new doctrines can be defined, excommunications that require the Pope to lift them cannot be lifted (if those under the excommunication are seeking to have it lifted), and other stuff. Most of the everyday activities that involve the function of the Church are handled by the Cardinal Chamberlain, who is currently Vatican Secretary of State Tarcisio Bertone, who will work with 3 other Cardinals, chosen at random. After 3 days, 3 other Cardinals are chosen to help out.

The See of (Coptic Catholic) Alexandria, is second in order of precedence to the See of Rome.
