As we come to the end of the Pentecost octave and the Easter season, we wish to thank all of our readers who sent in these photos of their liturgies.
Following an old custom still fairly common in Europe, most famously at the Pantheon in Rome, a shower of rose petals was dropped from the ceiling to represent the tongues of fire at the coming of the Holy Spirit.

My parish is in Part 2 of this! We do the same thing…

It originated at the Pantheon in Rome… They drop rose petals through the oculus.

I’m serving in one of those photos and dropping the petals in the other 😃 Our church attic is sooo hot…

Eh. I told the photographer (A fellow Master of Ceremonies) to submit the pictures.

And I am behind the clergy in the last picture… you can barely see me.

Well shoot. I was hoping you were one of the ones visible.

Dangit. I’m sorry.

I’m the big dude in the middle- this are the MC’s/head servers of my parish ready for Confirmation with our Bishop.

The dude second from the right with the collar is the Bishop’s seminarian assistant/Master of Ceremonies, not one of us haha
