Happy Pentecost to all! Amen, . Today is the Holy Feast of Penetcost. And consdier the following typology: as I’ve stated the saint traverses three stages in the “way”, just as the Jews era was three of the five ages of the Old Law.
And it seems the Church shall likewise traverse these days as well.
Just consider the parallels: when humanity attempted the one world materialistic dominion at Babel, God CONFOUNDED the languages, DIVIDED humanity into separate nations, and called ONE nation among many to be His People.
But at Pentecost, God REUNITES the nations by the power of the Holy Spirit’s TONGUES, calling ALL nations into one SINGLE universal people, the Church.
Soon after, the chosen People are persecuted (Jews, Egypt, the Church, Rome). But they are each delivered into a kingdom (the Jews, Israel, the Church, Catholic Christendom).
And just as the Jews came out of Egypt kicking and screaming, and even eventually kicked and screamed their way of the Old Covenant, the same with the Gentiles. That is, the Gentiles kicked and screamed while they were brought into the Church, and they have, since Protestantism, gradually kicked and screamed their way out of it.
But the Jews were chastised respectively by the Assyrians (the separated North, who had most of the 12 tribes) and the Babylonians (the true kingship Judah, who had only two tribes but was, again, the true king), just as the East has been chastised by Atheism (the Orthodox have most of the Apostolic Sees, but lack the full kingship) and that we in the West (Rome, which is the ultimate king) expect the Minor Chastisement from relativistic materialism.
But the kingdoms are to be reunited according to Ezekiel, which would seem to find its ultimate fulfillment in the New Covenant, where our great numbers of Catholic mystics predict the reunion of Christians after the minor tribulation.
And so just as the Jews were gathered from the foreign lands back to the Holy Land after the exile, so all of God’s Children who are exlied in foreign SPIRITUAL lands shall come home to Rome, and there will be great rejoicing, the unitive phase.
Finally, after the Jews stayed in the unitive phase for a few centuries, they passed through the final trial, the OT Antichrist Antiochus, which was followed (as the last of the historical books of the Old Testament) by the FIRST Coming of Christ, just as the Church, after the unitive age of Peace, shall go through the great apostasy and the NT Antichrist, after which will occur the SECOND Coming of Christ.
I know it’s alot, but you can get alot of paralells when you start with Pentecost being a type of what occured at Babel.
