So how did it go?

I remember being traumatized the first time I stepped into a Catholic Church and saw (gasp, shuddder, sweat!) KNEELERS! And I was expected to KNEEL down – in PUBLIC. It nearly killed me. And all the upping-and-downing, and signing of the cross, and knocking on the chest, and the holy water (what’s with THAT?).

It WAS like a trip to the moon.
I hope you survived the culture shock.

Go by a book store and buy or borrow from someone “The Lambs Supper” by Scott Hahn. He describes his first Catholic Mass and explains it as the book of Revelation come to life! It would be great if you could get it before you attend Mass but it will help explain things even if you get it after you attend - just get it!

It will immensely helpful! Think of all the scripture you know when you listen to everything at Mass! The entire Mass is biblical!

I’m sure it will be overwhelming. Let us assure you, there is nothing to be afraid of! Ask someone to show you how to follow along in the missilette, they will be glad to help you!

Just because you are a poor parish doesn’t mean you can’t have the Tabernacle! WHERE IS THE TABERNACLE? WHERE IS THE FOCUS OF OUR WORSHIP? That is inexcusable for any parish - poor or not!
