I didn’t say that, I said that there are people out there that think that SSPX is in schism because of it’s traditional mass when it is because Levabre ordained two more bishops than he was supposed to.
Thats a good point, and also the reason why they are wrongly called the SSPX and smearing the name of a holy pope (St Pius X), their true name is the Lefebvrists.

From The Courage to be Catholic by George Weigel, page 118, from the first full paragraph:
A distinguished Catholic philosopher who thinks himself extremely orthodox once said, “If the Pope said, ‘2+2=5,’ I’d believe him.” Another distinguished philosopher, just as committed to the papacy as his colleague, gave the correct and far more orthodox response: “If the Pope said ‘2+2=5,’ I’d say publicly, ‘Perhaps I have misunderstood His Holiness’s meaning.’ Privately I would pray for his sanity.”
I offer this to (hopefully) portray a balance. The latter example seems to be an example of the balance, the prior one extreme, and those who jump ship the other extreme.

Raised Protestant, I had to read and open my mind to come to a proper understanding of the role of the Pope. Ultimately, the resounding thought in my mind is that even if the Pope did say something wrong, teach heretically, or lead the flock astray, he was appointed by Jesus to lead the Church, and he passed that authority onto chosen people. We were told to follow him, we were taught that his office can speak infallibly, and should I be led astray by something he taught, it seems it would be on his hands, and not mine.

I don’t know much about SSPX, but … I know I trust my German Shepherd…
