How do you think of Jesus while speaking to him in prayer?

I got to thinking about this question last night while talking to him myself during Adoration.

Do you find yourself continually address him as “Lord”? Do you call him by his name? Do you affectionately say “My Jesus”?

The poll is optional (multiple votes are allowed).

I can’t vote but mine would go with Lordly/Kingly. I’m sure he would make a good friend but unless I encounter him literally I don’t think I could view somebody I never met as a friend.

EDIT: I refer to him simply as Jesus when praying

I wasn’t able to vote (browser problems 😃 ); but I guess the closest one of your options for me… would be “Friend/Advocate”; But in all honesty… I must say that I can’t really categorize my relationship with Jesus. Nothing fully expresses it.

He is the center of my poor heart. :o

I view God the Father,God the Son and God the Holy Spirit as one ,the Holy Trinity. So therefore i cant view God as anything but Almighty God the highest of the high.To be revered and loved above all things.Jesus is God the Son.When i pray it is to all three in one.I sometimes say Jesus, sometimes Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit Almighty God,or Father etc I dont pray to Jesus as my brother or equal may be im wrong!!! Thats just my perception of who to /how i pray.I hope this makes sense!:😃

Interesting question…

I view Jesus as my Best Friend, Lord, and King, and many other things but I’m not sure how to express. I agree with MarieVeronica, “He is the center of my poor heart.”

When I pray, I call Him “Jesus”, “Lord”, and sometimes “my Jesus”.

God bless

E, I thought you might find this interesting, from the messages received by Gabrielle Bossis (approved by her Bishop). She writes in He and I:

"In the avenue at 5:30 A.M. I said, “We’re all alone, Jesus.” And He said: “Say ‘My Jesus.’ Don’t you prefer to be called ‘My Gabrielle’?” (p. 51)
